Taina Hakala – Moments, exhibition at Gallery Vaaga, 19 March–5 April

Hakala's exhibition consists of works mostly from 2024-2026, aquarelles, oil paintings and couple of clay works. Hakala is interested in rhythms and spaces, remote horizon as well as familiar curtains shutting the world outside. 
Again and again she stares in distance, looking the rhythm and different shades of color of the waves. Again and again she finds herself trying to capture the intimate feeling of the space at home, behind the curtains. Again and again she is fascinated by the light sparkling on the sequin dress.

Taina Hakala

Taina Hakala b. 1976 is a third year student. Before Free Art School Hakala mostly studied art by herself, and few courses on comics at the Comics Center, and painting with guidance of Vilma Metteri. Hakala has worked on comics and paper collage, and arranged exhibitions, workshops and comic readings.
