Anniversary Exhibition Free 90 | HAM

The Free Art School’s graduation exhibition Free ’25 opens to the public on May 3, 2025, at Puristamo, Cable Factory in Helsinki. This year, twelve painters are graduating from the school – a traditional art institution dedicated solely to painting.
Moona Aho, Eino Aitamurto, Albert Eronen, Vappu Holma, Pinja Kanon, Alex Keyriläinen, Marika Maijala, Eevi Oittinen, Maria Rasinkangas, Aaron Sirainen, Aino Suikkanen, and Mirja Väyrynen.
The exhibition is open daily from May 3 to May 18:
Mon–Fri: 10:00–20:00
Sat–Sun: 10:00–18:00
Note: On Thursday, May 15, the exhibition will exceptionally open at 11 AM.
The opening reception will be held on Friday, May 2, from 17:00 to 20:00.
The catalogue presents 12 newly graduated painters. This trilingual publication includes an essay by Deputy Director and visual artist Hannaleena Heiska, as well as texts by art critic Helen Korpak on the emerging painters. The artwork images were photographed by Virppi Sysilehto, and the portraits by Aaron Sirainen and Felix Bardy. The visual identity was designed by graphic designer Pekka Toivonen.
